Edge Malkin Antique Platter (late 1800s)

Sale Price:£28.00 Original Price:£32.00
sold out

This is a wonderful antique platter from Edge Malkin which dates it in the late 1800s. The “festoon” transfer around the edge is glorious and I wish I could tell you more about the image in the middle but even with all my research I’m not 100% sure…..from the articles I’ve read, it may be from the “Italy” range which showed scenes around Lake Como but I really can’t be sure.

It is in the most amazing condition for it’s age with no horrible cracks or mends or chips - it has obviously been loved and respected. It’s a great size and sturdy whilst not being too heavy. A very special piece and I’m excited for it to find a new and special home.
